Historic bits

New York, despite its modern flare, is one of the oldest cities in the United States. There is a LOT of history to be explored around the city, but I just hit a few that were close by.  Here is a small sampling.

Macy's and the Empire State Building. 

Teddy Roosevelt's birthplace. 

Teddy Roosevelt's favorite place to buy clothes...just 100 feet from his home. 

And William Seward. Thank him for Alaska, among other things 

And lastly, Harold Square.
