Miss Davis Goes to Washington

Trip #2 this year was a journey to our Nation's Capitol-- and what a trip it was! Washington, D.C. is one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much history in one town.

The first question everyone asks is, "Why were you in D.C.?" There are three reasons, actually. First, my aunt was going to be there with my 11-year-old cousin to speak with senators and representatives about upcoming bills (potential laws) that could impact her business. This is called lobbying. I don't get to spend much time with my aunt and cousin, so this was a great opportunity to do just that. Second, I love history. Washington, D.C. is chalk full of history. Need I say more? Lastly, I was on Spring Break and didn't have classes (full of you wonderful students) to teach all week.
